The owners of this terraced house in Drimnagh, Dublin came to us because their home no longer worked for the way they lived.
The kitchen was small, dated, and short on usable space, making day-to-day family life feel more cramped and less practical than it needed to be. They wanted to make better use of the house, improve the layout, and create a home that felt more comfortable, modern, and functional.
To achieve that, we added a rear kitchen extension that gave them the extra room they were missing and completely changed how the ground floor worked. The new layout created space for a modern kitchen with a wrap-around peninsula, giving them more worktop space, better flow, and a much more sociable area for cooking, dining, and spending time together.
As part of the wider renovation, we also added a new bathroom under the stairs to make the most of the available space, and fully renovated the main bathroom to bring it up to a much higher standard. Every part of the project was designed to help the house feel more practical, more attractive, and better suited to modern living, while still making the most of the existing footprint of the home.
Vacant Property Grant
We also helped guide the homeowners through the Vacant Property Grant application, giving them support beyond the building work itself.
The end result is a terraced home that feels brighter, more spacious, and far better equipped for everyday life. It is a great example of how the right extension and renovation can completely transform how a home looks, feels, and functions.
